1941 zenith 6d538
This was a restoration of a 1941 Zenith 6D538. I pulled this one out of a leaking shed at a junk store in rural northern middle Tennessee for $5. The cabinet has so much water damage that all of the glue joints had failed. I was lucky the front veneer is still there!
I completely disassembled the cabinet to the last piece, then reglued, toned, and painted. The original photo finish was replicated with graining techniques.
The chassis is also completely rebuilt. New caps, all new wiring, and 5 NOS tubes. The rear panel was replaced as was the bezel.
